Did you know originally Letters to Santa were ‘posted’ into the fire? They would shoot up the flue, out the chimney top, and emerge to fly across the skies to land… boompft… directly on Santa’s lap! Children would run outside, look up to the skies and hope to catch a glimpse of their letters containing their hopes and dreams hitching a lift on a cloud or maybe on the wing of a bird.
We are not sure what happened, maybe it was the ‘Elf and Safety’ people, but Santa cannot wait two weeks or more for the Royal Snail Mail! He needs his elves to get to work straight away!
